Spotlighting ruins lives

i need to let you all know that i, jessi, the self-proclaimed queen of the macro, am not a member of cat_macros PURELY because once it got spotlighted, it got full of huffy little cunts with mspaint and pictures of their flea-bitten cats posting the lamest shit every thirty seconds.

seriously, they thought they owned the place and heaven FORBID you tell them that their shitty macros were... well... shitty.

[Current Mood |pissed offpissed off]

It's not always necessarily a bad thing. But there are some communities that can't handle it. For example, I'm a part of dailyfootballer, and I'm really happy it got spotlighted. It's a daily poll rating a soccer player. So it's a lot better if 200 people are voting instead of 10. But iamtelling is one of those communities that gets ruined by spotlighting. I feel cold-hearted, but the majority of the new posts are "I AM OKAY. I DON'T LOVE YOU PERSON I CAN NEVER HAVE. I DON'T HATE MYSELF". And while I momentarily think, "Aw =(".. I don't know these new people. I don't want to read random people's lies, I want to read TIOS and people TIOSers think are awesome's lies. And it's not "Come and lie to make us pity you" community, it's for us that know each other. AND IT'S GETTING RUINED! And taking over my friendspage! >=(

Sometimes I go and look at the other spotlighted communities, and if you scroll down, there are all these posts, like "well, before all the new members" and "before this place started to suck" and "back when people knew how to post" and all that kind of stuff.
